Dr. Royer Named OSCA District Director of the Year for 2019

by | December 8, 2019

Dr. Bryan D. Royer was named the District Director of the Year of the Ohio State Chiropractic Association for 2019. He previously won this award in 2017.

Dr. Royer has served the OSCA as the Chair of the Governance & Nominating Committee for the past few years and also served on the Campaign Committee this past year.

The Governance & Nominating Committee is tasked with reviewing the governing documents of the organization as too whether or not they are consistent with applicable laws and actual or desired organizational practices, recommending amendments to such governing documents and recommending candidates for election or re-election as an Officer in the OSCA. The Governance & Nominating Committee has been working on a number of issues over the past couple years, including fixing inconsistencies and redundancy between the Policy & Procedure Manual and the Bylaws and streamlining many procedures to allow the Board of Directors to operate more efficiently and effectively. The process of filling permanent vacancies of officers on the Executive Committee has been solidified and processes and positions between the District Directors and the Executive Committee have been set-up to allow better communication among the leadership of the OSCA.

The Campaign Committee helps to ensure that the Officer selection process is fair to all candidates by laying out the process of campaigning for election.

Dr. Royer represents District 1, which consists of doctors of chiropractic located in the Ohio counties of Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Lucas, Williams and Wood. As the Director for District 1, he serves on the Executive Board of the Northwest Ohio Chiropractic Association (NOCA), which he served as Secretary and Treasurer of from 2010 to 2014.
